The CA (Chartered Accountancy) course is one of the most prestigious professional courses in accounting and finance globally. Here’s an overview:
The CA course in India is regulated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). It consists of three levels:
• CA Foundation: Entry-level exam after class 12, Held in June ,Sep and Jan
• CA Intermediate: Next stage after passing the Foundation or for graduates/postgraduates
• Articleship: 2 Years after Passing CA INTER
• CA Final: The final stage of the CA course.
• For CA Foundation: Students who have passed class 12 from a recognized board.(CBSE , RBSE OR ANY OTHER With Min 50%)
• For CA Intermediate: After passing the Foundation exam or having a commerce graduation with minimum 55%
• For CA Final: After passing the Intermediate exam, completing articleship, and attending Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS).
The CA Foundation & Inter exams are held thrice a year, usually in June ,Sep and Jan , by ICAI. The exams include multiple-choice questions, subjective questions, and case studies.
Practical training is a crucial part of the CA course. After passing the Intermediate exam, students must undergo a 2-year articleship training under a practicing Chartered Accountant.
